Lies Destroy The Economy

An end to fantasy statistics by government is one thing I want to do if elected President.

Look up   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadowstats.com  pay particular attention there to the discussion of  "u6 unemployment" The author of the site claims that using Depression-era methodology, for example, the U.S. unemployment rate would have been 16.5% in January 2009, more than double the announced rate of 6.7%.

and  "hedonic adjustments to inflation". some of the biggest changes to theConsumer Price Index were made between 1997-1999 in an effort to reduce Social Security outlays, using controversial changes byAlan Greenspan that include "hedonics", or the increased quality of goods.

An end to lying and state-sanctioned fraud in non-transparent accounting sheets. This is all done to reduce stress on politically favored players.

Every panic since 1987 has occurred because there were no way of verifying claims of financial soundness. In a very real sense, our economy is being destroyed by lies.  No rational businessman is going to hire when he can't be sure of business conditions.

Let a thousand banks be resolved but not one retail investor be cheated.

An end to unsecured lending (“One dollar  of cashable capital for each dollar of risk

An end to opacity and lies both in Wall Street and Washington,

A massive reduction in the culture of secrecy and the national security state, where 750000 people with clearances can allegedly keep a top secret.  The only people really in the dark are the voters.

90% of official secrets don’t belong there and it corrupts our entire system of government.

Look at all the stuff that came out when they audited the Fed.

You cant have government of the people by the people and for the people if the people don’t know whats going on!

An end to machine trading dominating our securities exchanges.

Nightly mark-to-market and the posting of cash margin against any underwater positions.

If we purge Wall Street of the cheaters the honest businessmen will inherit the Earth  and we can begin reclaiming our besmirched national honor.

Once America had the most honest markets in the world.  If honesty returns, prosperity can follow.
